With 36 pairs competing in the annual Golfers International Mixed Pairs tournament an early 08.30 first tee time was essential. For some, no breakfast, but no problems!!! A halfway bar with Rosemary's homemade sausage rolls was a welcome break.
The weather remained good all day and was certainly reflected in the scores,the best of which were Mike and Avril Gray 43 points, Pepe Diaz and Trini Fernández 42 points, Baz and Dot Prior 41 points.

In the evening 87 golfers and guests enjoyed excellent food and ambiance at La Zarzuela where prizes were presented for the competition and also Player of The Year, which was awarded to Vicky Thomas with Sune Jönsson, Rosemary Moody and Paul Miles in close contention.
Unfortunately a few people, Lennart and Kristin Olsson, Kjell and Agneta Adolffson, Drew and Rachel MacDowell and Mimi Piest were unable to be with us due to illness, along with Anne Rosenvinge who passed away earlier in the year, but were remembered with a toast to "Absent Friends".
The evening was concluded with some very "robust" dancing to the excellent music of Duo La Scala.
