It was almost perfect golfing weather for the 29 players on the Masters course. It was cooler than of late with only a gentle breeze, though it did strengthened later. As for the course, the greens were better than late last week as most of the sand that had been applied had worked it's way underground. Unfortunately, however, there were quite a few temporary tees due to the scarifying of the normal tees and even though these were well forward it was difficult to tee up correctly which made driving difficult and it certainly affected the scoring. Nevertheless 12 players managed to score 30 or more points.

Following drinks and excellent tapas in Algarbe, the presentation of prizes took place, which were a little different this week. There were prizes for ladies and gents nearest pin and the best 4 scores for both ladies and gents also received prizes consisting of various perfumes and after shave.

In the ladies section the winners were 4th Rosemary Moody 27 points, Maria Galliart 29 points, Sylvia Green 32 points, Isobel Fielding 32 points (best back 9).

For the gentlemen 4th Bobby Cuddy 31 points, 3rd Albert Taylor 32 points, 2nd Keith Richards (Guest) 34 points, 1st Doug Kemp 34 points (best back 9)

Nearest pin for ladies was won by Isobel with a shot to 7m 75cm. Unfortunately none of the gentlemen managed to find the green!!!!

Next week is a mix of Classic and Front Nine, first tee time is 10.40 on the Classic.
