41 players started in bright warm sunshine, though it got a little dull and cooler later. Nevertheless 16 people managed to score 30 or more points.
Best of the day were Stefan Hockfelt, Hans Ooft, Agneta Adolfsson and Albert Taylor all with 35 points and only separated for places by back 9. However a great 39 points by Ingrid Oberg saw her claim 1st place and a handicap cut!!.
Despite the lack of sunshine it was still warm enough to have drinks and tapas outside at Algarbe, following which Steve Bradbury was announced winner of nearest the pin with a shot to 1m 45cm
For the main competition and following the surprise draw 5th prize was awarded to Hans and Paul Miles, 4th Stefan and Leigh Burrows, Agneta and Thea Dekker received 3rd prize, for 2nd prize Inger Strand Sjostrom joined Ingrid leaving Albert and Jim Shaw to claim 1st prize.
