It was almost a perfect golfing day, warm, plenty of sunshine and only a moderate breeze. However, the scores from the 39 golfers did not really reflect the conditions. Nevertheless 13 of the players managed to score 30 or more points.
Afterwards drinks and tapas were enjoyed at Algarbe where the owner Puri, was celebrating her birthday and naturally everyone greeted her with a rousing chorus of "Happy Birthday"
Nearest the pin was won by Hans Ooft for a shot to 2m 45cm.
For the main competition, there was no surprise draw this week and the prizes were awarded to the 3 ladies and gentlemen with the best scores.
For the ladies tied for third place were Michelle O'Keefe and Agneta Adolfsson 34 points, Agneta receiving the prize for a better back nine.
Second prize for a score of 35 points was awarded to Dot Prior, with first prize going to Rosemary Moody with a score of 36 points.
In the gentlemen's section, it was much closer, with 3 people on 36 points. However, following count back for the back nine, Lee Goulder received third prize, Herman, second prize with first prize being awarded to Stefan Hockfelt.
