Being an earlier start at 09.46am meant that it was quite cool. However, the sun soon warmed the 27 players up and it was not long before layers of clothes were coming off and the day became very warm indeed and together with an ever improving course saw some very good scoring.
Half of the competitors returned scores of 30 or more points with the best of the day being 39 points from Stefan Hokfelt, Adrian Gracey and Larry Rowe and Lennart Olsson scoring a very creditable 37 points.
Prize giving took place in Algarbe following very enjoyable drinks and tapas
Nearest the pin was awarded to Jörgen Alm for a shot to 2m.97cm.
In the main competition Lennart and Mel Moody claimed 4th prize. For 3rd Prize, Larry was joined by Peter Watts. 2nd prize was awarded to Stefan and John Gracey and Adrian Gracey and Dot Prior received 1st prize.
