It was ideal golfing conditions (sunshine and very little wind) to play the pairs knitting competition. Once everyone had arrived a draw took place for partners. First out of the hat was Marianne who was drawn with Rosemary, followed by Louise and Mel, Sune and Aimé and Brian and John.
The knitting competition was knit 1, purl 2, purl 2 together, purl 2 together, purl 2 together, purl 2 together and then repeat the pattern. This translates into 1 score to count on the first hole, 2 on the second and then 2 scores to count but doubled on the next four holes and then the sequence repeated from hole 7.
The eventual winners of the competition were Mel and Louise with a score of 117. Well done both. Second was Marianne and Rosemary, third Sune and Aimé and fourth Brian and John. Prizes of restaurant vouchers at Los Sabores were awarded for first two pairs, following which we enjoyed drinks and tapas.
I have also been volunteered to organise next week as well, which will be Masters 1 and 2 at 11.30. Format and venue for prize giving, drinks and tapas to be announced.
