Over half of the players scored 30 or more points on what was an ideal golfing day weather wise. However, whilst the greens are certainly showing signs of improvement they are still slow and "bumpy" which probably accounted for the fact that scores overall were lower than would be expected.

Nevertheless the best scores of the day were very creditable, Marianne Liljedahl 34 points and Steve Bradbury 35 points.

After golf, excellent tapas and drinks were served in the open at Algarbe, following which the prize presentation took place.

Sune Jönsson received nearest the pin prize for a shot to 6m 27cm, narrowly beating Mark Connolly.

A surprise draw took place and Rosemary Moody was paired with Marianne for second prize, with first prize going to Steve and Brian Downey.

Next week first tee time will be 10.26 Masters 1 & 2.
