The weather was very hot on the front nine of the Masters, but the wind came on the back nine which made it slightly more comfortable for the 19 golfers playing fourball betterball, with four nominated holes (2 on the front and 2 on the back) where all four scores counted and were doubled.
With the benefit of hindsight 4 out the 5 teams may well have not chosen hole 2 as a nominated hole, because once on the course we all found out that with the competition on Sunday the majority of the yellow and red tees were well back against the stones. Having said that it didn't seem to deter the winning team of John Flynn, Yvonne, Avril Gray and John Dekker with a score of 127 points and having hole 2 as one of their nominated holes.
Drinks, tapas and prize giving were at a very windy Mario's bar.
