Summer is definitely here. It was sunny, hot but somewhat windy for the 20 players competing on the Masters course. Nevertheless 7 people did manage 30 or more points.
Prize giving took place at Algarbe following most enjoyable drinks and tapas.
Nearest the pin prize was won by Baz Prior for a shot to 4m 35cm.
In the main competition there were prizes for 3 ladies with the best scores, Maria Hoovers and Louise Shepherd scored 33 points with Louise having a better back 9 giving her 2nd place and Maria 3rd. Best score however was Nina Taylor with 37 points.
There were 4 prizes in the mens section, Baz Prior and Alan Sharpe returned 33 points with Baz having a better back 9 for 3rd place and Alan 4th. Second was Peter Watts 34 points, but a great 38 points gave John Flynn 1st prize.
Next week first tee time is 10.50 on Masters 1.
