Monday 7 August 2017

Another very hot and humid day with very little breeze presented a real challenge for the 19 golfers on the Masters course. Nevertheless despite the course playing very long, over half the players returned scores of 30 or more points.

Best of the day were Jim Shaw 36 points, Chloe Wilson 35 points (third week running in prizes) and Herman van der Vlis 35 points.

Drinks and tapas were enjoyed at Algarbe where prior to the presentation special thoughts were made to Rob Burrows and Terry Green concerning their recent illnesses and hospitalisation.

Nearest pin prize was awarded to Tanya Wilson for a shot to 4m 40cm.

Following the surprise draw Jim was awarded 3rd prize along with Barry Jones, Chloe and Mel Moody received 2nd prize whilst Tanya Wilson was drawn with Herman for 1st prize.

Next week first tee time is 10.02 on Masters 1 and 2.
