Monday 4 September 2017

A lovely golfing day greeted the 16 players and despite the courses, we played 10 to 18 Masters 2 and Masters 3 (Classic), not being in good condition, there were still some very good scores with over half the field returning 30 or more points.

Drinks and tapas were enjoyed at Algarbe, following which Trinidad Fernández was presented with a prize for nearest the pin, a shot to 4m 80cm.

For the main competition, Trinidad scored 36 points and received fourth prize. Following a back 9 countback Hans Ooft, 40 points was awarded third prize, also with 40 points and receiving second prize Herman van der Vlis, whilst first prize was claimed by Anthony Kingston with a great score of 45 points (and a hefty handicap cut).

Next week, first tee time is 10.16 on Masters 3 (Classic).
