11 people started playing friendly golf on Saturday in glorious sunshine. We were in 2 teams of 5 players, San Juan verses San Isidro, plus one late entrant. By the time we reached the back 9 the wind began to blow and made play a lot more difficult for some of us! We all played individual stableford but were allowed to double our own score on 1 hole on holes 1-9 and on 1 hole on holes 10-18. After play, we retired to Manolo's bar for drinks and tapas and the presentation. The team of San Juan had a total of 150 points and the team of San Isidro had a total 167 points. Due to the late entrant, Robbie, I decided that his score would be split, front 9 and back 9 and a blind draw would take place. The team of San Juan drew Robbie's back 9 and added 22 points to their final score making a total of 172 points but the team of San Isidro remained in the lead with an additional 25 points from Robbie's front 9 making their final score 192 points. Well done to team, San Isidro with Pepe, Natalia, Nina, Peter Wa, Alan Sh and the best half of Robbie! Commiserations to the runners up, team San Juan with Mel, Trini, Brian, Paul M, Paul T and the other half of Robbie! A big thank you to Manolo's bar for keeping us all 'fed and watered'.
