When we teed off it was a hot sunny day with a gentle breeze, which unfortunately strengthened as the day progressed. Certainly the scores were affected with only 6 of 16 players managing 30 or more points.
Sylvia Green, after a long lay off scored 31 points to claim fifth prize, 32 points saw Rosemary Moody claim fourth, with equal scores of 34 points and after the 9 hole countback, Elaine MacMillan was awarded third prize and Mel Moody second prize. First prize however went to Marion van Dongen Torman for a very creditable 37 points.
Following drinks and tapas in Los Sabores, Paul Miles received Nearest pin prize for gents but unfortunately none of the ladies managed to hit the green.
Next week, first tee time is again 10.02.
