A sunny but blustery day greeted the 47 players on the White & Red and Blue & White courses and it certainly played a part in what was only average scoring. Less than half the competitors returned scores of 30 or more points.
Best scores of the day were returned by, Dot Prior, Natalya Korolenko, Avril Gray, Robbie MacMillan and Thomas Bengtsson 34 points (Dot and Thomas losing out for a prize on back 9 rule White course), Vicky Thomas 35 points, Mary Burrough 36 points and a tremendous 42 points from Rosemary Moody.
Following drinks and Tapas in Los Sobores, Vicky Thomas was awarded nearest pin prize on Blue & White courses ,whilst no one managed to hit nearest pin green on White & Red courses.
For the main competition a surprise draw took place resulting in Kjell Adolfsson joining Mary for sixth prize, Peter Cooke and Avril, fifth prize, Vicky and Herman Liekens, fourth prize, Robbie and Baz Prior third, Natalya and Marion van Dongen Torman second whilst birthday girl, Michell O'Keeffe joined Rosemary for first prize.
