After some uncertainty weatherwise, Los Amigos fielded a group of 18 players for a 3 person team scramble competition, on the new time slot of Friday afternoon. A new format in the scramble, allowed for a number of second opportunities at shots, which contributed to a very low scoring day, with a total of 24 birdies and an eagle from the six teams.
Sune, Johnny Mac and Geraldine O, had a score of 59.0 to finish 3rd. Mick Mo, Marianne and Di, kept the bogies to a minimum to finish 2nd with 58.7pts. The eagle made the difference for the overall winners of Sissi, Lynne and Donal with 57 pts.
We finished the afternoon in The Stumble Inn, thanks to Angie, Sophie and Frank, with presentations of prizes. These included nearest the pin of 3.47m for Bob on his favourite White 8th. Nina was nearest on Blue 8 with 4.45 m and also took the Ladies prize on White 8 with 9.06m.
Sune continues to be the standard bearer winning the longest drive, while Geraldine continues to improve taking the Ladies longest drive.
Overall we had a fantastic day despite the dwindling numbers and are already looking forward to next Friday.
