16 players took part in the Friday Scramble, 8 ladies and 8 men and for this competition we had all lady captains. Not an easy task for some!. A few of the men began to take over, so we will try again and see if the gentleman can behave! I would like to thank all the ladies who took on the task of being captain and hope you will do it again in the near future.
We played a Stableford Texas Scramble in 4 balls, but with a little twist Each player in the team was required to take 4 drives and 4 second shots. After we had finished our rounds and retired to Algarbe for drinks and tapas, a secret draw was taken in which each team could double their team score on two holes, one of the front 9 and one on the back 9. The holes selected were hole 6 and hole 13.
The winning team were Elaine M, John Fl, Chris P and Bill. Second place was very close, tied scores after 18 holes. After the secret draw, all tied again. We then went to the back 9 tied scores. Second place was finally awarded to Nina, Hans, Lawrence and Maria H with a better back 6.

1st Elaine M, John Fl, Chris P, Bill with a score of 57 and an additional 6 points from the secret draw
2nd Nina, Hans, Lawrence, Maria H with a score of 53 and an additional 5 points with a better back 6
3rd Michelle, Alan Sh, Andre, Tatjana with a score of 53 and an additional 5 points, but beaten on countback
4th Rosemary, Des, Rudolph, Elaine T with a score of 44 and an additional 2 points
